German Steins

“From about 1340 until 1380, a Bubonic Pague, or Black Death, killed more than 25 million Europeans! As horible as this historic event was, it promted tremendous progress for civilization. And, of interest here, it is also responsible for the origin of the beer stein.”

Can you tell me any thing about a 2 liter pewter stein. It is 14 inches high. Has a open door with a butcher with knife and a pig on a rope. The only markings are hoch lebe das handwerk der metzger
